Unconquerable Gladness

This piece of calligraphy attracted a member of the network, and ended up here.  The person who  brought it home disregarded the first two lines, which seemed incomprehensible at the time. Whether or not we blow by the first two lines of this piece of calligraphy, we are finding it a helpful reminder of the greater context in which we are working:

Author of the world’s joy
Bearer of the world’s pain
At the heart of all distress
Let unconquerable gladness dwell.
