The Spark Booklet lays out our core beliefs and is an ideal meditation aid. You can “read” the booklet by following along with the video below. The first video features both narration and music, while the second video features only narration.
If you would like to put together your own Spark Booklet, we’re happy to help! Reach out to us at Contact us and let us know which edition(s) you would like us and provide your mailing address, and we will send you ‘templates” and directions for assembling along with a sample. In case we have questions, it would be helpful if you included your e-mail address or phone number. Currently, we have a limited number of premade booklets, so if you cannot make your own, we may be able to send you some of these.
Available Editions:
- Original, hand-written
- Original, typed
- Xt version, typed (Xt refers to Jesus Christ. In this version, Christ is written as CHRIST, and the reassurance reads, “In everyone, in each one of us, there is a spark of humanity, of CHRIST“)
- xt version, typed (this version writes “CHRIST” in lowercase: christ. The reassurance reads, “In everyone, in each one of us, there is a spark of humanity, of christ.”)
You can learn more about how christ/CHRIST fits into the Spark Network here.
Please note that the artwork differs in each version.
If requested, we can also include written copy for the front and back cover. This includes:
- “We are reassured” statements inside the back cover:
-
In everyone, there is a spark of humanity. As we claim our sparks, we become agents of transformation.
-
As agents of transformation, all the resources we need are available to us.
-
It works best when we, ourselves, are willing to be transformed
- The Spark of Humanity web address for the outside of the back cover
- The light drawing of the fish for the front cover of the Xt/xt version.
Below is the text of the Spark Booklet:
In everyone, in each one of us, there is a spark of humanity.
Sometimes, we are afraid that something might damage our spark.
We are afraid that it might be out.
It can’t be.
Even though, at times, we are not feeling it.
Sometimes, our sparks are defended.
Sometimes, they are distorted.
Sometimes, they are baffled.
Sometimes, all three.
Sometimes, so much that we are not aware that we have one.
Regardless, in everyone we meet, in everyone we think of, there is a spark of humanity.
In us, too, regardless of how defended or distorted or baffled.
All sparks are made of the same stuff.
Sparks have a natural affinity for each other.
When you, through your spark, connect with and affirm the spark in another,
regardless of how defended or distorted or baffled they are,
their spark is strengthened.
That changes things.
It seems that the strengthened spark acts to
erode the defenses,
release the distortions,
clarify the bafflement.
From the inside.
It is very good.
How might you claim your spark?
